Day 150: Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

Standard

Girls’ Night Out!

“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” Audrey Hepburn

I had the best time on Friday night with six of the nicest girls in town! These girls were fun, appreciative, lively, and knew how to have fun.  The interesting thing about the whole night is that we didn’t have any of the things that most girls might consider first in order to have fun!

Here’s what I mean:

No Guys:  None of the girls had a date. There were just six girls and me.  We still had a blast singing and dancing at a Hairspray Singalong.  It reminded me that these girls were unusual.  They were confident enough to know that they didn’t need a guy to have fun.

No Booze: None of us were drinkers, though we all agreed that if we had been drinkers, that occasion would have been a great time for it.  Still, we had fun laughing and singing.

Just Fun: Every time I looked over at the girls they were smiling about something.  From the pre-party dress-up until all seven of us crammed into the taxi to ride home, we were laughing, singing, and taking pictures.  The dressing up was fun. The picture-taking was fun. The buffet meal was fun. The party bags were fun. The show was fun.  We were even laughing the next morning about it!

I wish I had been one of these nice girls when I was growing up!  It just goes to show how girls with confidence, good friends, and a special occasion just want to have fun!
